Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (Flexibility Required)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a premier healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for neonatal care to manage daily operations, guide a team of clinical supervisors and educators, and ensure the highest quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage NICU nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices for Level 4 NICU care.
  • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives.
  • Allocate and manage resources efficiently to maintain high-quality neonatal care.
  • Assist in direct patient care as needed, including clinical leadership in critical situations.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based policies and procedures to enhance care standards.
  • Monitor and improve departmental performance metrics, including patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN License (State of North Carolina or Compact).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Enrollment in an MSN program within 1 year of hire and completion within 5 years (if MSN is not already obtained).
  • BLS Certification Required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Extensive clinical experience in a Level 4 NICU with a deep understanding of neonatal care.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
