What We Offer

  • Schedule: 7am-7pm, Full-time
  • Department: Medical Surgical Telemetry
  • Location: Forsyth Medical Center - Winston Salem, NC
  • Sign-on bonus available up to $30,000 and Relocation up to $7,500!

4-General Telemetry-Monitoring is a dynamic med/surg unit dedicated to providing comprehensive care to medical patients. With 41 beds and a typical patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 and can flex to 1:6 on occasion, our unit prioritizes teamwork and has a growing Unit Shared Governance Committee. You will have the opportunity to care for patients with diverse conditions, including CHF, hypertension, COPD, diabetes, and respiratory diseases, with an average patient stay of 7-10 days.

Our team includes an ADT nurse, who works out-of-coverage and as staffing allows, along with various support roles to ensure a strong patient focus. We have earned Center of Excellence awards and maintain top patient experience scores. 4 General Telemetry had a Team Engagement score for 2024 of 93%. What We're Looking For

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
