As a Pediatric RN, You'll
- Lead compassionate and evidence-based care for infants and children, forging meaningful relationships with patients and families.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, therapists, and staff—to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Be accountable for safe, high‑quality care in alignment with Novant’s “First Do No Harm” standards.
- Guide families through their child’s healthcare journey with empathy, clarity, and genuine care.
- Education & Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with an active RN license in North Carolina (or eligible for licensure).
- Bachelor's degree preferred; refresher courses required if licensure has lapsed >5 years
- Experience & Certification:
- At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications like PALS, ACLS, BAT, DOT are strongly preferred
- Skills & Qualities:
- Compassionate communicator capable of building trust with young patients and families.
- Strong organizational skills, clinical decision-making, and comfort using electronic health records.
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and embracing diversity.

- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has beeninactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
