Posted 2 months ago by Adam Combs

***Some of you may have received this as an email blast, but I wanted to post to ensure everyone sees it. If you did not get the email blast make sure your email is correct with ASPAN.***
The NCAPAN Board of Directors met Saturday, August 11, 2018 and we wanted to provide you with some updates as the summer is coming to an end.
First, make sure you mark your calendar for the 2018 NCAPAN Conference October 20 & 21 in Concord. Keep check on the NCAPAN website for registration. You will also receive an email blast when registration has opened! You can reserve your hotel room now by visiting the NCAPAN website.
Second, the BOD is seeking nominations for the PeriAnesthesia Nurse of the Year. The application deadline has been extended to September 10, 2018. Do you know a nurse who meets the criteria? If so, please complete a nomination form. The completed nomination form, two letters of recommendation, and the resumes should be emailed to Public Relations Director Tamara Barnett at bbarnett8@att.net
Third, there are a few vacancies on the BOD, so if you are interested in serving at the state level, please check out the NCAPAN website to see the vacancies available. If any of the vacancies appeal to you, please complete a Willingness to Serve form and email to robindavisrn@gmail.com. You are also welcome to email any NCAPAN BOD member or ask questions at the 2018 State Conference.

Finally, the BOD has decided to no longer publish the NCAPAN Newsletter, Carolina Breaths. NCAPAN is trying to stay up to date, so you will be receiving more email blast. You will also be able to find all of the information on the website you are used to seeing in the newsletter.

Please reach out to anyone on the Board of Directors with any questions, comments or concerns. We look forward to seeing you all October 20 & 21 in Concord!
